These sexy photos of Danica Patrick straddling a Cobra for the 2009 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue join the Go Daddy commercials in providing more buzz for her brand and more eye candy for teenage boys. And by "Cobra" I mean a Shelby 427 Cobra and not a snake or a giant penis. I get the car but, I don't really know what bikinis have to do with race car drivers, but I'm not going to ask too many questions about why Danica Patrick is in a bikini or the 2009 SI Swimsuit Issue. The answer seems pretty obvious, actually: She's a sexy female race car driver. I guess SI liked the reaction it got from readers about Danica Patrick in 2008. Also keep in mind that like last year, 7-Eleven's going to hand out Danica/IndyCar Series posters with the first 25 purchases of the '09 swimsuit issue in there stores. Danica Sue Patrick (born March 25, 1982 in Beloit, Wisconsin, U.S.A.) is an auto racing driver, currently competing in the American IndyCar Series. She was raised in Roscoe, Illinois. Patrick was named the Rookie of the Year for both the 2005 Indianapolis 500 and the 2005 IndyCar Series season. In May 2006, she published her autobiography, Danica: Crossing the Line.
