A young Shanghairen who was fired from her job at the local outlet for Italy’s Kappa sportswear brand after she made a porno, the video seem to have been shot using a phone. The girl, 22-year-old Lu Jiani, was filmed in a 12-minute-long sex video, and its ubiquity on the Chinese Internet inspired many a "citizen-cum-journalist" to flood the Shanghai Kappa store with cameras in hand, hoping to get a glimpse of her (see the video from the store). She has tried to profit from all of this new fame, charging high prices for interviews, public appearances, and ads on her blog. Yes she has a blog, the Kappa Girl' has a blog and she reveals her latest developments through blog posts. She writes:
"Right now, I have a little fame, so how can I use my fame for profit? While lying on my bed last night, I thought of a few things, now sincerely looking for advertising sponsorship."
The 12 minute long sex video of the female employee working at the Kappa store in the east building of the Shanghai No.1 Department Store on Nanjing Lu has recently been spreading like wildfire on the Chinese websites via Bittorrent, email and the Chinese peer-to-peer application Xunlei, catapulting the search term 'Kappa女' (or "Kappa Girl") into one of the top ten search terms on Google China and unleashing a 'human flesh search engine' where netizens worked together to track her down, publishing her private information such as her name, her pictures and even her user name on QQ, a popular Web messenger. There were only two people present during the video and people are saying it was not the Kappa girl who leaked it. Like with most sex tape, the leading suspect is the man in the video. Fascinated, people started thronging the Kappa store (check out this scene — these guys weren't there for a sale!) with cameras in hand trying to catch a glimpse of her.
Besieged by questions, the girl started http://blog.sina.com.cn/dongloukappa to defend herself, and while she was at it, she would be putting up more nice sexy pictures and videos of herself.
"Regarding my video, I sought advice from a lawyer. It does not seem like I broke the law! Those who are spreading my video, and disseminating my news are breaking the law! Either way, I still look good on the screen, who knows what director will look for me to make a film later on! Must become famous as soon as possible!"
In her blog, she also wrote of how she might as well make good use of her sudden fame. Since she was "way prettier" than Furong Jiejie, she surmised she could learn a bit from Muzimei to put her exploits down on paper and make a living from it. Needless to say, she was soon sacked by Kappa — who, as Shanghai Daily informs us, fired her because she had "tarnished its image". In her next post, she announced that she was now looking for sponsors — her rates would be 20,000 RMBfor a bar appearance, 50,000 RMB for an underwear modelling assignment, 30,000 RMBfor an exclusive interview, and 100 RMB per day for banner ads placed on her blog. Indeed when Shanghai Daily tried to contact her, the reporter was told to hand over RMB30,000 before she would grant an interview. There are also rumors and people posting that Lu Jiani is a prostitute who charges 300 RMB for sex or 800 RMB for the entire night.
Under Chinese law, anyone who films or uploads sex videos onto the internet is guilty of distributing pornographic content and Shanghai police are now (furiously wanking) hard at work uncovering the origins of the video.
