Victoria’s Secret Model Karolina Kurkova Slammed by Brazilian Media for being Fat, Scandal at Sao Paolo Fashion Week

The Brazilian media is calling Czech Supermodel Karolina Kurkova too fat. One Brazilian paper blasted her back fat and cellulite, as did other outlets. The 24-year old beauty and Victoria's Secret model Karolina Kurkova is being criticized over her appearance in recent days at Sao Paulo Fashion Week, especially after a runway appearance in a bikini. Or too fat to be a runway model, but either way, when I think of Karolina Kurkova, fat is not the first word that comes to mind. A year ago I would put her up against any other model body wise in a comparison of sexiness and total hotness. I thought ofd her as having one of the best bodies of the girls in the Victoria's Secret catalog. She was #6 on Forbes list of Top-Earning models, with $5 million last year. According to News.com.au, Karolina's appearance at the Cia Maritima show during Sao Paulo Fashion Week had the audience gasping at the "cellulite on her butt," and they said she looked "chubby." Yeah.

Sexy supermodel Karolina Kurkova has been attacked by the Brazilian media for appearing too fat on the runway. Czech Kurkova was slated in the country for appearing in a bikini with what critics called "back fat, love handles and cellulite".

Kurkova, 24, is best known for being a Victoria's Secret Angel whose super-fit physique has graced the pages of fashion magazines around the world.

But her recent appearance at the Cia Maritima show during Sao Paulo Fashion Week had fashion critics up in arms.

An article in a Brazilian paper about the leggy 5'11" Kurkova described how "shocked" the audience was when she appeared looking uncharacteristically chubby with "cellulite on her butt."

It's clear that the supermodel has gained some weight since the question is, is she too "fat" to do a show like that! The debate seems to be in full swing in the fashion world causing a scandal among the air-brains in that industry. Now, I am definitely not calling Karolina Kurkova fat, but you can't say she hasn't put on a few pounds. Like maybe 1 or 2 pounds too much. I don't know. But it's been a very long time since I've seen rolls on a Supermodel's back. Not that there's anything wrong with that. LOL... I would still do the still bangable overweight pig! Karolína Isela Kurková (born February 28, 1984 in Děčín, Czechoslovakia) is a Czechsupermodel, best known as one of the Victoria's Secret Angels. Mario Testino said of Kurková, "The proportions of her body and her face, as well as her energy level, make her a model who could fit almost into any moment." In September 1999, Kurková met with Vogue editors in New York City, then she moved to NYC permanently. At seventeen years old, she landed a spot on the cover of the February 2001 issue of Vogue. Kurková was now recognized at haute couture fashion shows, and lingerie brand Victoria's Secret chose her to be a part of that year's televised fashion show special. Prominent fashion houses such as Yves Saint Laurent signed Kurková to modeling contracts. Print campaigns for Tommy Hilfiger, Valentino, and others helped expose her even more, while she headlined the second Victoria's Secret show the following year.In the 2002 Victoria's secret fashion show she also modeled the multi-million dollar bra worth almost $10 million, embellished with rubies and emeralds, which was designed by Hearts on Fire. She was named "Model of the Year" at the 2002 VH1/Vogue Fashion Awards. Kurková has been featured in fashion spreads in most major fashion magazines including U.K., U.S., and German, French Vogue (as well as other international versions of), Vanity Fair and Vanity Fair Germany The Face. In Germany she covered the GQ SUMMER STYLE GQ Sommer Stil and the Park Avneue besides that she was part of many articles in fashion magzines like max or GALA. She has worked with well-known fashion photographers including Steven Klein, Mario Sorrenti, and Mario Testino. She was also featured in the 2006 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, Once again showcasing the multi-million dollar bra worth $6.5 million, decked with almost 2000 diamonds weighing 800 carats, and a centerpiece diamond brooch weighing 10 carats.Karolina's walk down the Victoria's secret runway wearing the above mentioned diamond bra along with frost wings happens to be her most notable walk for Victoria's secret. She happens to be the only other Victoria's secret angel besides Heidi Klum to model the multi-million dollar bra twice in 2002 and 2006. As of December 2007, she can be seen in print ads for Dell. She was also featured on the february 2008 cover of Esquire magazine which re-creates the classic 1966 Angie Dickinson cover on Esquire's 75th anniversary along with fellow Victoria's secret angels Adriana Lima, Izabel Goulart and Selita Ebanks.
