When Anne Hathaway dumped her boyfriend Raffaello Follieri and then he was arrested the following week for financial fraud, I knew it was just too convenient. A few days after Anne Hathaway broke up with Raffaello Folleri, he was suddenly arrested for a $6 million real estate scheme. The New York Daily News now suggests Anne Hathaway may have been the one to rat out her ex to the FBI. So Anne Hathaway's break-up with Raffaello Follieri may have been timed a little too conveniently. A friend of the Italian con-man believes Anne cooperated with the Feds in helping them arrest Raffaello, according to NY Daily News:
"It makes sense," the friend said. "She's referred to as his former girlfriend in the indictment even though her spokesman never confirmed they broke up."According to the latest reports, Anne Hathaway may have actually spoken to the FBI about her ex-boyfriend, Raffaello Follieri. The information she provided to the FBI could have led to his arrest. Anne Hathaway may have tipped FBI that Follieri was selling the Catholic Church's land, falsely claiming Vatican permission. Within days of Anne Hathaway’s break up with Italian con-man and ex-boyfriend Raffaello Folleri, he was arrested.
Hathaway, who is not identified by name in the criminal complaint, split with Follieri shortly before his arrest last week. He is charged with posing as an agent of the Vatican to fleece investors out of millions.
"I think that in return for her cooperation, the feds held off on arresting Follieri until she was out of the country," the friend said."
I guess Anne Hathaway started to realize something was amiss when Raffaello suggested they add role-playing to their routine. He would pretend he was a priest while conducting real estate transactions and, she'd pretend she didn't want to sleep with the fishes if she ever opened her mouth. This is a scary thought. That someone could betray a person so close to them. LOL... You know what they say, "Snitches get stitches" and with an asshole like Raffaello Anne better watch her back. A tough week is seemingly getting tougher by the hour for Raffaelo Follieri, the deposed Anne Hathaway beau whose surplus of unused "CFO, The Vatican" business cards are the least of his mounting problems. There's also the positive drug test, the mysterious "illness and subsequent hospitalization," and the whole problem of house detention — which he could get around with the mere $21 million bail laid down Tuesday in court. Or the 29-year-old Italian could just save the cash, sit down with the feds, and see what might work to avoid the charges' maximum sentence of life in prison.
Indeed, Follieri is allowed to leave the house only for legal, medical and religious reasons, all of which seem to apply these days: Both his physical condition and his legal future are reportedly unknown. And for a man whose ATM receipts are essentially dicta from God Himself, it may take more than an ankle bracelet to monitor Follieri's places of worship.

In an interview with Us Weekly, Hathaway spoke about her weight loss for the film. "I basically stuck with fruit, vegetables and fish (to slim down for the movie). I wouldn’t recommend that. Emily Blunt and I would clutch at each other and cry because we were so hungry."
Hathaway was initially cast in the 2007 comedy Knocked Up but dropped out before filming began. She also recently completed filming on the drama feature entitled Dancing with Shiva opposite Debra Winger. She is now getting set to begin filming the comedy Bride Wars, in which she will star with Kate Hudson. The two will play friends whose weddings fall on the same day. The film is likely going to be ready for an early-2009 release. Other possible films include the remake of the 1967 film Valley of the Dolls, which is going into production in late 2008 and is going to be ready for 2009.
